Cedar Waxwings Spring Migration through Charlottesville Virginia

The Cedar Waxwings are back. Each spring they arrive to feast on our magnificent White Mulberry on Altamont Circle in downtown Charlottesville Virginia.

. Not clear if it is a flock or flocks, as they come and suddenly go for several days until they have their way with the mulberries. Sometimes as many as 25 – 30 at a time. This has been going on as long as we can remember, and we have been here 44 years. We will not see them again till next spring.
